I met up with a group of friends last night, we went into the city to Chestnut Street to eat at Dragon Well, which is an excellent chinese resturaunt. I had the best walnut prawns. But there were 6 of us and it is a small place, so we had to wait two hours. The management was very apologetic, there was a party that took two hours, the last 45 minutes of them just sitting there. It was very rude. But a good time was had by all. We ended up at the Savoy in North Beach, which is cool, but very loud and really only fun if one is intoxicated. My favorite place is called Jack's in Cannery Row but one the people with us doesn't like the place because it's too quiet. Excuse me for wanting to drink my Guinness without risk of tinnitus. We were all amused by tales of the Resource kids (those who rode the short bus to school) which was probably un PC of us. I'm going to Gear-O-Rama today, which is a fundraiser for the Film Arts Foundation and features some really great local bands, plus cheap beer. All of the ingredients for fun. Except hookers.
